Ahafia Wowk of Astoria, New York entered into eternal rest on March 16, 2015. Ahafia was born in the Ukraine on May 10, 1924 to Daniel Trusz and Maria Fediuk. She married Ewhen in 1948 in Germany. Ahafia worked as a cleaning lady with local 32BJ for many years. She was a member of Holy Cross Church. Ahafia had a passion for cooking, and Ukrainian embroidery. She was survived by her children Michael and Anna, grandchildren Christopher, Larissa, Michelle, Michael Jr. great grandchildren Jesse, Natassia, Gracelyn (Gracie), Rebecca (Becky), Austin, Katrina, Brandon and Joseph (JoJo), one sister and one brother in the Ukraine. A visitation will be held on March 19, 2015 from 2-5:00pm and 7-9:00pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday March 20, 2015 at 9:30am at Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery located in Campbell Hall, New York.
