Barbara Alice Hale

Born August 7, 1936, to Catherine and Leonard Edwards – March 8, 2025

Barbara Hale, a beloved mother and friend, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at the age of 88 in Bayside, New York. Barbara was known for her warm, social nature. She enjoyed her time with family and friends, always looking forward to their conversations and staying connected with the latest news. In recent years, Barbara converted to Roman Catholicism, deepening her faith and continuing her lifelong spiritual journey.

Barbara is lovingly remembered by her two children, Michael and Susan Hale, and their spouses, Robin Hale and Martin Collins, along with family and friends, all of whom will carry her memory with them always. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Hale, with whom she shared many memorable years, and by her parents, Catherine and Leonard Edwards, and her brother, Clifford Pierre.

Barbara had great respect for our brave and courageous heroes who risk their lives to safeguard and defend others. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to Tunnel to Towers or the Wounded Warrior Project, organizations that reflect Barbara’s admiration for those who serve in the military or as first responders. A visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kennedy-Roth Funeral Home, 41-45 58th Street, Woodside, NY 11377. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, 58-02 Roosevelt Ave, New York, NY 11377. A committal service will occur Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 41-45 58th Street, Woodside, NY 11377.
