Cristina was our dear dear coworker who was so conscientious, so kind, so tireless.  We could not wait to get to work, to hear about how she was doing and news about her beloved mother.  We listened to her plans for the immediate future, and her reminiscences of past experiences.  We miss her tremendously.We still feel her presence with us here every day. Cristina sat next to me, and it was a privelege for me to be invited into her world and to be on the receiving end of her generosity.  My heart goes out to all of you, her family, for your loss.

Cristina was my co-worker at the NYSDOL. She was my contemporary when we first joined the department. She was such a professional, a helpful and responsible person who was a great asset to public service. But more than that, on a personal level, she had touched my life during our every day interactions by her graciousness, generosity and honesty. She had such joie de vivre. She was a no-nonsense person. The last time we spoke before taking a holiday break, she was sharing her plans to decorate her home and to spend time with her family.  She reminded me to take Friday off, too, like she did to spend time with family. She was always looking forward to spending time and treating her mother and doted on her brother. She shared snippets of her life with me and life growing up in the Dominican Republic. There was a time she told me that she did not like celebrating her birthday at the workplace because she would like to delineate her work life from her personal life and that she was a very private person. But even if we had met in the workplace, she had touched me personally. She gave sisterly advice and even reminded me to take my medications. Her ways showed what a caring person she is. For the short time that we have interacted, she had made positive impact on me. I miss her and miss seing her across my office desk as she would peer with her beautiful eyes when she sensed that I needed help with Spanish translation,  but I am consoled by the thought that she is now in the eternal embrace of our loving Lord God. My sincerest condolences and prayers to her beloved family.

The lost of my cousin has been felt deeply as our family say goodbye. We love you and will see you soon.

Cristina was a great person it was always a pleasant encounter to speak with her in at work. My prayers go out to your family.  May she Rest In Paradise.

I used to work and chat with Cristina all the time. She was such a sweet and sincere person. She will be forever missed and memorized.

Jose, Christina was a beautiful person inside and out. We will truly miss her here at work. May God give you and your family peace and strength in this difficult time.
