Dominick Ottomanelli

He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Dominick will be remembered as a very exceptional person. He was the son of Francesca and Gennaro Ottomanelli.

Dominick was raised with six. He had five brothers and one sister Jenny, Joe, Onofrio, Mike, Nick and Sal. Dominick was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.

Empathic and loyal, Dominick was committed to making his new family happy.

Dominick worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Dominick was blessed with four, Jerry, Toby, Frances, and Grace. Another blessing for Dominick was the gift of six grandchildren, Christopher, Joseph, Rebecca, Lisa, Kristin, and Sofia Grace.

Fortunately, Dominick enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Dominick worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was a Butcher. Dominick always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.

Dominick enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were wine making and sauce making. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.

Dominick passed away on June 28, 2012 at Mt. Sinai Hospital of Queens. He is survived by his wife and children. Services were held at Most Precious Blood R/C Church. Dominick was laid to rest in St. John's Cemetery.

Simply stated, Dominick was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Dominick leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories.

Visitation will be held on Saturday and Sunday June 30 2012 and July 1, 2012 from 2-5pm & 7-9pm A funeral Mass will take place at Most Precious Blood R/C Church on Monday July 2, 2012. Interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery located in Middle Village, New York.
