Edward (Eddy) P. Roberts, 76, of Woodside, New York passed away on June 6, 2012. He was born in New York on August 27, 1935, and he grew up in Astoria, Queens. Eddy was married to Lillian in 1954, with whom he had six children. He worked as a sales/shipping department manager. Eddy had a passion for the New York Rangers and the New York Giants; after his beloved Brooklyn Dodgers left New York, he became an avid Mets fan. Eddy, who was known for his great sense of humor and his mischievous streak, was loved by all who knew him.
Eddy is survived by his children Kim, Pamela, Eddie, Dennis, Dawn, and his grandchildren Craig, Bobby, Scotty, Tracy, Faith, Scotty and Andrew and his great-grandson, Bo. Eddy was predeceased by his wife, Lillian, and their eldest son, Patrick. Visitation will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 11 and 12, 2012 from 2pm to 5pm and from 7pm to 9pm. A Mass will take place at Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church at 9:45am on Wednesday, June13, 2012. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Woodside, New York.
