
Frances Brady Deane, a resident of Jackson Heights, Queens, NY passed away peacefully at the Regal Heights Rehabilitation Center in Jackson Heights< Queens, after a short illness on June 12th, 2023. Frances was predeceased by her loving husband, Patrick F. Deane to whom she remained devoted. Frances was also predeceased by her parents Margaret and Hugh Brady, and her sisters Mary Englishby and Rose Brady. She is survived by her niece, Margaret “Peggy” Englishby, Rockaway, Queens, and her nephews James H. Englishby, Hopewell Jct. , NY, and Patrick “PJ” Englishby and his wife Shara of Dawsonville, Georgia. Frances is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Born in the Bronx, she lived her entire life in New York City and since 1957 resided in Jackson Heights, Queens, where she had many friends whom she loved. She loved her community and the many people in her neighborhood and building who assisted her over the years. Frances was fiercely independent and lived on her own, the family is grateful to the many people in the community who helped her maintain her independence.
Frances started work at ATT in Manhattan after she graduated high school and went on to have a 43 year career that she was very proud of and retired as a Senior Traffic Clerk in the Engineering Department.
Frances was very devoted to her Catholic Faith and was an parishioner of “The Joan of Arc” Roman Catholic Church in Jackson Heights.
Frances was an avid New York Yankee fan and watched her team on TV at every opportunity she had. She was very fond of Derek Jeter and Aaron Judge sending them cards on their birthdays.
A gathering for Frances will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at Conway Funeral Home, 41-45 58th Street, Woodside, NY 11377.
A mass of Christian burial will occur Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Joan of Arc RC Church, 82-00 35th Avenue, Jackson Heights, NY 11372.
A committal service will occur Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
