Francisco "Paco" Duran, 92, of Woodside, NY, passed away March 4, 2015. He was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on April 2, 1922. Paco attended school but had to leave and go to work at an early age to support his family after his father died. He was married to Luisa Rios on November 19, 1948. Paco worked in toy manufacturing for Goldberger Doll Manufacturer. He had a passion for creating things; he made planes out of soda cans. Paco also owned a shoe repair shop in Brooklyn. He was survived by 2 daughters, Myriam Cabrera and Elizabeth Valle, 4 grandchildren, Lisa Cabrera, Galo Cabrera, Larissa Valle, and Jasmine Valle, and 6 great grandchildren, Sebastian, Micayla, Dylan, Katie, Jade, and Quincy. His siblings all predeceased him.
