Born February 18, 1938 in Manhattan, raised in Astoria, Queens and the last 50 years has been a resident of Woodside. She was one of 4 children (2 girls, 2 boys) Never married, no children.
Her career started in the travel industry and many years with the French Cruise Line. Later after the French Line closed, she represented hotel chains from the Island of Barbados, West Indies and also St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. After many years in travel industry, she transitioned to fashion/personal shopper which she thoroughly enjoyed. During her early years in retirement, she did some projects for the City of New York in Senior Services in downtown Manhattan.
Joyce leaves behind a brother Thomas and sister-in-law Jean who reside in St. Petersburg, FL. She was predeceased by her older sister Marie who she was very close to and missed dearly for many years and also her youngest brother Robert (Bob).
She also leaves behind (2) sisters-in-law’s, Lorraine and Jean De Mange, (3) Nieces; Kathleen De Mange, Ghislaine Ball and Leigh De Mange as well as (4) nephews; John James Ball, Scott De Mange, Robb De Mange and Thomas De Mange, Jr. her godson. She will miss all the wonderful (4) great grand nephews; Gavin, Casey, Shane and Charlie.
