With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Lillian Cortes, who peacefully departed on January 28, 2025. She was a devoted mother to Luz Maria Mercado, a loving grandmother to Nicholas and Matthew, and a cherished mother in law, sister, aunt, and cousin. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, strength, and unconditional love.
Born on October 25, 1932, in Medellin Colombia, Maria Lillian was the beloved daughter of Isabel Lopez and Jesus Cortes. She lived a life defined by generosity and compassion, always putting family first and offering warmth and support to those in need. Her legacy of love, resilience, and selflessness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
