

Marianne A. Feeley was born July 11, 1941 in New York City to the proud parents of Salvatore Charles Pecorino and Josephine Piazza-Pecorino and lived and worked in Long Island City, New York most of her life. She was the youngest of 2 children.
Marianne received an undergraduate degree from St. Joseph’s Teacher’s College and earned her Master’s in Education from Fordham University. A devout parishioner of Most Precious Blood R.C. Church in Long Island City, Marianne was united in Holy Matrimony to John J. Feeley for over 50 years.
A career educator in the New York City Public School System, she retired from P.S. 166Q The Henry Gradstein School after 42 years of elementary school teaching. In her retirement, she enjoyed painting and attending the NYC Ballet and MOMA.
On February 27, 2018, God called Marianne home to be with her parents and her other departed family and friends. Arrangements are as follows… viewing will be held at the Thomas M. Quinn & Sons Funeral Home located at 35-20 Broadway L.I.C, NY 11106 Friday March 2, 2018 8:30am to 10:00am. A funeral mass will follow 10:30am at Most Precious Blood R/C Church located at 32-23 36th Street Astoria, NY 11106. Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery located at 65-40 Grand Ave, Flushing, NY 11378
Marianne leaves to celebrate her life: Her Husband, John; Sister & Brother-in-Law, Joan & George; Niece & Husband, Regina & Tommy; Nephew & Wife Anthony & Marianne; Grand Niece & Nephew, Josephine & Alex and a host of friends.
Being a resident of her community for decades, Marianne will be dearly missed by all, however a part of her will live on in the hearts and minds of the hundreds of students she taught. “To teach is to touch a life forever.”
