Muriel E. Carr, 93, of Astoria, passed away June 1, 2012. She was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on April 30, 1919. She was married to Everett F. Carr on September 14, 1943. Muriel worked in Bryant High School. She had a passion for cooking and reading. She was an avid painter when she had her eyesight. She was survived by her children, Ruth and Kenneth, her grandchildren, Emma Alessandra and Lila Anabelle, her brothers, Arnold and Charles, and her sister, Dorothea. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm at Morisco Funeral Home in Astoria. Private Cremation and inurnment to follow.
