Spending most of her life in Florida, Sheila loved the beach, her dogs and her friends. She loved visiting Hollywood Beach. But most importantly the love of her life was and always will be her son Daniel. She was the happiest being a mother to her son taking him swimming, basketball and baseball games. She loved to dance freestyle music and always had everyone's best interests at heart. She had a smile that would light up a room.
She recently worked at Cleveland Hospital at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She spent most of professional life working in the medical community caring for those in need.
She was caring, funny, spiritual AF and most importantly she loved her family. She fought her disease valiantly and heroically the last two years moving to New York one week before the COVID shutdown in March 2020 to be close to her loving family and Daniel can be supported by all his cousins. At the very end she would ask the nurses who came to care for her to pull down their masks and she would blow them kisses.
She loved being with her siblings celebrating Christmas Eve with the family in Effort, PA and New Years Eve at our epic family dance parties. She was a ray of sunshine and was so very loved by so many people in Florida, New York, Puerto Rico and beyond. Her smile and her infectious laugh will be missed tremendously. Rest in Peace Sunshine Sheila. Your love, presence and light will continue to live through those you left behind and we honor you through your legacy by taking care of Daniel.
