

Anthony Joseph Corrao, age 91, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017. A man of many talents, Mr. Corrao enjoyed painting, photography, creating stained glass pieces and working on home improvements. He was a Cub Scout leader; served as past president for the Telephone Pioneers; volunteered for Talking Books which provides shared stories to the visually impaired; made pillows for heart patients; taught defensive driving courses for AARP; and volunteered at church. Mr. Corrao was a WWII Army Veteran who served in the Pacific Theater and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a loving, supportive father, and always provided sound advice to his sons and grandchildren. Mr. Corrao is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Brigida, and his sister, Antoinette Russo. Survivors include sons, Richard “Rick” Corrao and his wife, Eileen, of Canton, John Corrao and his wife, Deborah, of Woodstock, Ronald Corrao Sr. and his wife, Anh, of Marietta and Robert Corrao and his wife, Patricia, of Willow Street, PA; brother, Salvatore Corrao; grandchildren, Ron Corrao Jr. and his wife, Christina, Danielle Corrao and her fiancé, Ryan Kriebel, Anthony Corrao II, Christopher Corrao and his wife, Carrie, Alexis Corrao and her fiancée Erecca Hopkins, Lauren Corrao, Leslie Corrao, Peter Hildreth, Bennett Hildreth, Ryan Redford and his wife, Margina, Blair Redford, Darla Shuman and her husband, Nate, and Charlotte Miller and her husband, Russell; great-grandchildren, Remy, Lacey, Piper, Waverly and Warner; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins to cherish his memory. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from noon until the service at 1:00pm at Woodstock Funeral Home in Woodstock. Inurnment will follow on Monday at 10:30am at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
