Arthur St. Clair Hicks IV, age 63, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. He was born on December 9, 1954, to Marlene and Arthur Hicks. Arthur, also known as Skip, was kind, respectful and full of love. He may have been big in stature, however he was a gentle giant with a heart full of love to give. He was loved by everyone and never met a stranger. He always put his family first above all and kept a very positive outlook throughout his life. He strived to live life to the fullest. Arthur was always ready to go on another camping trip, ride his motorcycles, drive his sports cars, take the boat and jet skis out, and every other toy he had throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed sharing these with his family and friends and made sure they were always having fun. He lived by the motto, "He who dies with the most toys, wins!" He was a great provider for his family. Skip made sure they never went without and they were always well taken care of. He gave guidance and support when you needed someone to talk to. No matter what situation, he always had the right words to say. His advice would always help you become a better person. There was nothing he didn't know how to do. If something was broken, he could fix it. Skip was also quite the handyman, who you could always go to for help. His professional career was dedicated to Home Depot, where he spent over 30 years in management and merchandising. He was directly responsible for much of the continued success Home Depot, as a company, continues to experience today. Skip is survived by his wife, Laurie Hicks; son, Arthur (Kimberly) Hicks V; daughters, Breanne Hicks and Sarah Fisher; father, Arthur (Carole) Hicks III; brother, Troy (Tammy) Hicks; grandsons, Wyatt, Ayden, Grayson, Hunter; granddaughters, Alley and Taylor; and mother of Ash, Breeanne and Krysten, Cindy. He was preceded in death by; daughter, Krysten Hicks; mother, Marlene Hicks and brother, Garth Hicks. A visitation for Arthur will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia 30188, followed by a memorial service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
