Carolyn K. Weldon, age 82, of Acworth passed away Friday, January 19, 2024. She was a graduate of Fortier High School in New Orleans and earned her BS degree in Social Services from LSU. Carolyn was a member of Mount Paran Church where she had been an active member of the choir for over 40 years. She had a deep love for music and found joy in playing the piano. Carolyn was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Robert Weldon; daughter, Michele Childress and her husband David; two granddaughters, Ashton and Averi Childress, and one grandson, Aaron Childress. She is also survived by three brothers, Clifton, Doug, and Larry Kirby along with their wives and children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Olive Kirby.
A graveside service for Carolyn will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens, 4355 Hwy 92, Acworth, GA 30102.
