Charles was born February 28, 1965 in Abilene, TX. Throughout his life, he worked many jobs becoming a “Jack of all trades”. Most recently, Charles owned and operated an automobile transportation company. He was extremely knowledgeable and the first person anyone would call when they needed advice.
You could always find Charles helping someone. He constantly made those with him laugh and had a talent to make people feel immediately loved. Even though he was in a lot of pain, Charles never complained or stopped supporting those in his life. When you would ask him how he was doing, he would quickly respond with “Uh, mean as ever!” He had an infectious laugh. There has been a hole left in the lives of his family and many friends. Charles will be forever loved and missed.
Left to cherish the memories he leaves behind are his beloved wife of 30 years; Kathy Alba; sisters, Jamie, Laurie and Lisa; nieces and nephews, Savanna (her husband Will and their children, Reagan and Mila), Skyelar, Sierra (her husband Huston and their son, Jaxon), Sterling (his wife, Shannon), Jasper, Alana, Devon and Keira; adoptive mother, Glenda Black; mother-in-law, Pat Barrett, sister-in-law, Michelle Barrett; and aunt, Ruth. Charles wanted to make everybody feel like family and in doing this he created his own family that includes (but not limited to), Biggie, Dana, Nelson, Roy, Ron, Shane, Nicole, Bella, Joan, David and Mike.
On Saturday, April 24, 2021, there will be a service to celebrate Charles’ life at 1:00pm in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation in memory of Charles to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/
