

Charles Lindsay Ball was born November 12, 1962, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida to his parents Susanne Steigerwald Ball, and Lindsay Peters Ball. He passed from this earth on October 13, 2024, in Canton, Georgia.
Charles graduated from Tarpon Springs High School and spent his career working for the State of Florida, most recently serving as a budget analyst for the Office of the State Courts Administrator. He loved his job and his colleagues.
Together with his family, he owned a home in Panacea, Florida where they enjoyed boating, fishing, eating seafood, and just being together as a family. He adored his children, was so proud of them, and always put them first.
Charles is famous for his capacity to do anything, fix anything, and always made himself available to friends and family. He was the man you would see jumping out of his car to fix a stranger’s flat or push a car out of the road. His fierce intelligence, coupled with such kindness and compassion were known to all.
Charles is preceded in death by his mother, Susanne Ball.
Charles is lovingly survived by his wife of 26 years, Lisa Carol Allen, and his children; Cody Allen Kelly, and Dawson Allen Ball, and his father, Lindsay Peters Ball. He is also survived by his siblings; Peggy Ball (Charles) Higman, Trish (Kevin) Maxwell, Michael Ball, and sister-in-law; Barbara Matthews, Vickie Bowen, and Martha Sullivan. He also had a large, extended family with whom he was very close.
He was diagnosed in December, 2022 and fought a fierce and brave battle against cancer.
The family wishes to thank all of those who supported him and cared for them during his illness.
A celebration of Charles’ life will be held at The Retreat at Bradley’s Pond, 9002 Bradley Road, Tallahassee.
