joven y querido.
Vuela alto, querido Dany,

In Loving Memory of Daniel Armando Jiménez Gutiérrez.
On September 4, 2026, our family experienced one of those blows that changes life forever.
An unexpected accident took the life of Daniel Armando Jiménez Gutiérrez, our beloved Dany, when he was only 17 years old, just two and a half months away from turning 18.
Seventeen years old… an age when life is only beginning to unfold its dreams, when there are still so many paths to walk, so many experiences to live, and so many hugs yet to receive. Dany would have turned 18 on November 20, 2026.
Dany was preparing to take an important step toward his future. In December, he would have received his High School diploma and his Certificate in Technology Production for Film and Video, an education that surely would have been only the beginning of everything he could have gone on to accomplish.
He was also working at Panera Bread, taking his first steps toward adulthood.
But beyond his studies and his work, those who loved him will remember the young man he was.
Dany had a noble, pure, and innocent heart. He loved making his family laugh with his jokes, his funny antics, and his dancing. He had a special ability to turn an ordinary moment into an opportunity to smile.
He was also a sensitive and reserved young man. At times, he preferred solitude, as though he carried within him a universe that did not always need to be shared. And those of us who had the privilege of knowing him closely know that behind his jokes and his happiness was a deeply sensitive heart.
Today, that heart no longer beats among us, and it is difficult to accept that we must learn to live with his absence.
Dany leaves behind his mother, Jovita Alejandra Gutiérrez Reyes, who was blessed to watch him grow and share her life with him, lovingly guiding him through every step of his journey; and his father, Luis Armando Jiménez González, whose unconditional love allowed him to be both a good father and a friend. Both must now learn to walk through life carrying the immense pain of losing their son.
And by their side is Clara Ramírez, his father’s wife, but so much more than that to Dany: a woman who loved him, cared for him, and was present in his life as a second mother. Dany was fortunate to receive the love of two women who held a special place in his heart, each through her own unique bond with him.
He is also mourned by his siblings, Fabián Ernesto Jiménez, Isabella Hernández, and Jesús Salvador Jiménez, who will have to learn to say his name with tears in their eyes and, someday, with a smile as they remember the many things they shared together.
He was preceded in death and welcomed with love by his grandparents Alí Gutiérrez, Irma de Paolino, and Fiorello Paolino, who had already passed before him. And he is lovingly remembered by his grandparents Luis Armando Jiménez Pérez and Ana María González de Jiménez, who now carry the profound pain of saying goodbye to a grandson who was far too young and deeply loved.
He also remains in the loving memories of his aunts and uncles Yratí, Linda, Soraya, Virginia, and Iralinda Gutiérrez Reyes; Henry Castejón and Camilo Bellosi; Mayerling, Mariana, and Luis Alejandro Jiménez González; Otto Castejón and Gustavo Méndez.
His cousins Yralis, Karina, Henry, Daniela, Rosaly, Ali, Ricardo, Américo, Gabriela, Anaisabella, Otto Salvador, Otto Alejandro, Gustavo, Ana Teresa, and Alana will each carry their own memories of Dany—those little stories, moments, and experiences that, with time, will become treasures they carry throughout their lives.
Because he passed away so young, we do not only mourn his absence; we also mourn everything he could have become.
We mourn the man he never had the chance to grow into, the dreams left unfinished, the plans we will never see come to life, and the stories we will never have the chance to share with him.
But in the midst of all this pain, there is also a gift: we had him.
We heard his jokes. We watched him dance. We shared in his funny moments. We held him in our arms. We were part of his 17 years.
And no one can ever take those memories away from us.
Dany, your time in this life was far too brief, but 17 years were enough to leave a profound mark on everyone who loved you.
When our family gathers again, there will be an empty chair.
There will be moments when we will expect to hear your voice, one of your funny remarks, or see one of your dances. And surely, we will cry. But we will also smile.
Because talking about you will mean remembering the joy you brought into our lives.
We do not know why God allowed your journey to end so soon. We only know that we carry you with us, and that love does not end with death.
May God welcome you into His arms, grant you eternal peace, and give us the strength we need to learn to live with your absence.
