Diane was a caring, generous mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who was deeply loved by all who knew her. She will be remembered as the sweetest woman you could ever meet—kind, patient, and always thinking of others.
Throughout her career, Diane worked in administrative roles where her thoughtfulness and attention to detail shone through. She loved reading, attending plays, watching science fiction, and spending time with her family. She adored her cat, Misty, and cherished the friendships she made through her exercise classes and Bible study group.
Diane is survived by her sisters, Delaine Dalzell and Dawn Patrick; her children, Kimberly Sweat (Stephen Sweat) and Richard Davis (Leslie Seamands); her grandchildren, Emily Thompson (Max Thompson) and Erin Sweat; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Gillespie Hoke and Edwin Gillespie, and by her beloved grandson, Justin Sweat.
Her family and friends will forever treasure the light, laughter, and love she brought into their lives.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc., located at 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA, 30188, United States. The event is scheduled for December 14, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
