Doris was one of the Founders of the Banco Del Libro and Director of the Mariano Picón Salas Library in Caracas, Venezuela - the most modern library in all Latin America at the time.
Doris was a mentor to many people in the world of art and education. She was well loved and seen as a mother figure to many.
The beloved wife of the late Diego Barboza, a loving mother to Claudia Barboza and Arelis Spencer Quirk, and sister of Gardenia Spencer and Norma Edreira, Doris will be missed.
