Gene was an amazing man, husband, father, father-in-law, Papa, employee, manager, friend, and the list just goes on. 
I can honestly look around at my loved ones and see how Gene influenced us for the better.  He had this fearless & adventurous personality I was in awe of. 
Going to islands to set up the very first TV station. Moving around the world with his family.  Gene was never scared of new technology. He looked @ the newest advancement in science with s true twinkle in his eye. 
From the brand new, first on the market home computer he let Gary rebuild to the drone ( well, let's be honest, drones) he owned. 
Gene was the most progressive person I have ever met, from beginning to end. I love and miss you, Lauren Faulkner 

















I had the pleasure of working with Gene while he was employed with WKBD-TV in the Detroit Market. He was truly one of the nicest (and funniest)  people I've known.  He talked about his family often, to whom he was eternally devoted.  We had some really great conversations, and I am glad that we were able to stay in touch occasionally after his move to Georgia.  Gene really was one of the good guys.  
I'm so sorry for your loss, and my sincerest condolences are extended to the family.  

I'm very sad to hear of Gene's passing and glad he enjoyed many years of retirement with friends and family. I worked for Gene when he was Chief Engineer at WKBD-TV in Detroit. Gene was great to work for. He was much more a leader than a "boss", enabling others to do their best, respecting them as professionals, and focusing more on outcomes than personalities. On the personal side, we had many conversations about family, including his joy in seeing his children grow into adulthood and enjoying their company as adults, giving me something to look forward to with my own children. Rest in peace, Gene, knowing you've had a lasting impact on those you've known and loved.

I had the privilege of working side by side with Gene at WSB-TV for a dozen years starting in the mid 90's.  He was a great Chief Engineer, a dedicated manager and team player and, most of all, a jovial friend to us all.  
Sincere condolences to Gene's family, friends and colleagues.  He will be sorely missed.  Rest in peace kind Sir!

One of my greatest career privileges supporting WSB-TV and Cox Media Group was becoming friends with Gene.  No matter the circumstances , he always exemplified professionalism, kindness, and dignity.  I envy those who worked for him directly.  Had I been one of them I'm certain that I would have learned a lot from him and would have been a better man for the experience.  Rest in peace, dear friend.

Gene and I worked in the tape room at KVZK in the early sixtys.  I guess you can say I was his first Polynesian friend. I remembered one of the first things he wanted me to teach  him was how to swear in Samoan.  Of course I comply.  He and his wife attended my wedding in Indiana. He will be missed. I knew Gene through my cousins Ginger and Paul when visiting them as all four of us were growing. I remember his soft voice and always smiling!!! God rest your tender soul Gene.

I had the pleasure of working along side of Gene at WSB-TV. He was a great Director of Engineering and help us maintain our number one rating.  My condolences to the family and I agree, Gene will be watching over you.

Aunty Sally and Family, I'm so sorry and sad to hear of Uncle Genes passing.  In days like these, words don't suffice for the pain in our hearts, I pray God comforts and keep you.  May his memories bring some comfort to you and the rest of the family.  We love you all and keeping you all in prayer.💞🙏

Gene Faulkner, my cousin, my brother from another mother. He lived with us much of his childhood having lost his mother at the young age of 2.    Paul and I felt like he was a brother.  He bought us so much joy when he brought his beautiful family into  our lives. Love you, my sweet cousin. You will be so missed. 

Sorry to hear about the passing of Gene. He was a friend of ours when he was in his younger years in Nicholasville, KY.

I will always remember the years when we were growing up in Stanford the good and crazy days we spent and our school days I’ll never forget, great memories.RIP my friend.

A dear cousin, wonderful storyteller,  and Faulkner genealogist.  He was sorely missed at our last "Cousins Reunion". He was well loved.
