

Mrs. Frances Goodrich, 95, of Canton, GA passed away September 7, 2014. She was born on March 2, 1919 in Copen, WV to the late John and Tinia Flint. Frances attended Burnsville High School. After high school, Frances started her family in Baltimore, MD and lived there for 25 years. She worked as a waitress at 5 star establishments, including Eager House. When her mother fell ill due to a stroke, Frances moved back home to care for her until her death. For the past 17 years, she has lived in Canton to be close to her daughters. Frances enjoyed gardening, jigsaw and word puzzles and quilting. She was a die-hard Baltimore Coltsfan and cheered for the Atlanta Braves. She was very hard working and as stubborn as she could be, everyone who met her loved her. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Bazel Rupe and second husband, George Dudley Goodrich. Frances leaves behind daughters, Sherry Gilbert (Ted), Holly Aungst (John) and Lynn Price, grandchildren, Paul Davis (Susannah), Carol Sturgill (Frank), Michael Clayville, Sherrie Davis and Charles Clayville (Kate), great-grandchildren, Michael John Clayville, Bobby Davis, Tara Davis, Holly Amber Bryant (David) and Kyla Harris, sisters, Bonnie Drozdz (John) and Ruby Straley and beloved kitty cat, Patty Cake. The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 11:00am in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. Interment will be at Walnut Grove UMC, Loganville, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Arrangements under the direction of Woodstock Funeral Home, Woodstock, GA.
