Rev. Frederick Wells Barrows

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Bazemore officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery with Woodstock Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Woodstock Funeral Home.

Rev. Barrows was born June 9, 1929 in Morrisville, Vermont to the late Eben and Pauline Wells Barrows. Rev. Barrows was a graduate of Marietta High School and attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He later served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. Rev. Barrows served as a minister every Sunday at Savannah Grand Assisted Living for 13 years. He worked as a Bailiff at the Cherokee County Courthouse for 5 years.

Rev. Barrows was also preceded in death by his wife Joyce Rohner Barrows in 2002.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Minnick, Woodstock, GA., one son, John Barrows, Woodstock, GA; one sister, Marilyn Bolton, Woodstock, GA; three sisters-in-law, Mary Richards, Gertrude Burgess, and Judy Sumrall; six grandchildren, Chris Minnick , Tiffany Minnick, Samantha Daugherty, Jessica Lacy, Blake Barrows, and John Barrows; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
