

Mr. George Gus Page, 83, of Woodstock, Georgia fell asleep in the Lord on January 9, 2015. He lived his life in word and deed in Christ Jesus. He was born on November 29, 1931 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Constantine (Gus) Page and Sophia Page, nee Cromidas. After graduating from Crane High School in Chicago, Illinois, George attended Bradley University on a football scholarship. He then honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a combat medic in the 3Rd Infantry Division. Upon his return home, George married the love of his life, Ethel (Athanasia), and they started their family. He was an entrepreneur and a businessman throughout his life. George was an active member of St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church in Woodstock, Georgia and a true man of God. He was a most beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a loyal and devoted friend to so many and will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves his cherished wife of 58 years, Ethel (Athanasia) Page, sons Dean G. Page (Virginia), Michael G. Page (Catherine), Stephen G. Page (Tanya) and George G. Page Jr., daughter Sophia Philippopoulou, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church, 2263 East Cherokee Dr., Woodstock, Georgia 30188. Following the service, he will be interred at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. The family will receive friends Monday, January 19, 2015 from 5-8 p.m., with Panachida at 6:30 p.m. led by Fr. Matthew Dutko, at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St., Woodstock, Georgia 30188.
