Gwyneth Ann Gore

They were ballroom dance instructors which happened to be one of Gwyneth’s favorite activities in her late adult life. She was later adopted and raised by Samuel Gilroy Gremillion Jr. and Anna Mary (Giles) Gremillion who gave her the name Gwyneth Ann Gremillion. Her father Sam was a WWII army veteran who worked in the rocket program in Huntsville, Al where Gwyneth would grow up and spend her early years. Her mother Anna was a nurse. Gwyneth earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Alabama and began her teaching career focusing on pre-K programs, then later earned a Masters of Science in Early Childhood Education from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. Gwyneth married Jeffrey Bryington in 1977. They had two children, Jason and Sherry. Gwyneth eventually did find her birth mother, Shirley and discovered she had a sister, Debbie who had also been put up for adoption, a brother, Rick, and a half-sister Lisa from Shirley. Gwyneth and Jeff’s marriage ended in 2012, then she met Christopher Gore in 2014. Chris and Gwyneth were married in 2018 and remained together until she passed from a long battle with breast cancer on August 11, 2025.

Gwyneth loved gardening, photography, dancing, dressing up formal or in costume, and being with her grandchildren. She was a long-time member of Unity North Atlanta Church. She enjoyed a very active social life with many friends in her neighborhood and Celebrate Atlanta Meetup group.

Gwyneth is survived by her husband, Christopher Gerald Gore of Woodstock, GA; her son Jason Samuel Bryington, grandson, Brody Samuel Bryington (16) of Marietta, GA and adopted grandson Evan Samuel Bryington; her daughter Sherry Lynn Bowen, granddaughter Brooklynn Faith Bowen (10) and grandson Reid Allen Bowen (7) of Canton, GA; her sister Debbie Burns of Manchester TN, brother Rick Abbott, half-sister Lisa Wolf, and birth mother Shirley (Bergee) Wolf (99), all of San Diego, CA.

A memorial service for Gwyneth will be Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Unity North Atlanta Church 4255 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, Georgia, 30066.
