

Marietta, GA – James Eugene Fedo passed away at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital on July 3, 2022, at 64 years of age after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his beloved family. Born in Morristown, NJ on February 6, 1958 and raised in Parsippany, NJ, Jim graduated from Parsippany Hills High School June, 1976. After earning a Certificate in Carpentry from Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education he joined his father, Michael Fedo, at Fedo Construction where he started his lifelong career in carpentry, honing his skills alongside his father. Jim married Denise Sturrock on March 30, 1984 and the couple relocated to Florida where they raised their family.
While there, Jim took an active role in his sons’ sports activities. After working for various construction companies over the years, Jim and good friend Scott Hackney started their own construction company, F & H Builders, Inc. Over the years, they established a reputation for performing first class work. Six years ago Jim and Denise moved to northern Georgia, where he started a successful handyman business. Jim thrived on being his own boss and gained a strong reputation for excellent customer service. Jim enjoyed making jokes, working and building things, baking and cooking, going to Hollywood Beach, FL and Lake Chatuge, GA, putting up Christmas decorations and making people happy by seeing his display and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his wife Denise of 38 years, his four children, Damien Fedo (Renee) of Arlington Heights, IL, Melissa Garcia (Edwin) of Cape Coral, FL, Jacqueline Martinez (Adam) of North Port, FL and Derek Fedo (Jacki) of Roswell, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael Fedo and Rosemary Fedo, and his brother, Thomas Fedo. He is survived by his brothers, Michael Fedo, of Lake Hopatcong, NJ and Joseph Fedo (Carol), of Parsippany, NJ and sisters Theresa Williams (Kevin), of Port Charlotte, FL, Susan Browning (Jon) of Montague, NJ and Diann Mendoza (Angel) of Dover, NJ; 5 grandchildren; Rosalyn Bolden, Gianni Garcia, Angelina Garcia, Isabella Garcia and Ocean Fedo, step-grandson, Cole Farina, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life will take place at Ana’s Ballroom, Woodstock, GA on Saturday, Aug 6, 2022 from 12:00 – 4:00.
