Jimmy Gregory Cox Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Thursday January 19, 2012 at Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joel Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 P.M. at Georgia National Cemetery with Woodstock Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held today from 3-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Cox was born January 22, 1939 in Lumberton, North Carolina to the late Wilson Clarence Cox and Beatrice Pittman Cox Thomas. Mr. Cox worked as a manager at the Mead Corporation in Atlanta for over 40 years. Mr. Cox was a Great Golfer and an Avid Fisherman.

Survivors include his daughter, Belinda Cox, Nantucket, MA; one son, Jimmy Gregory Cox, Jr., Marietta, GA; his mother and father-in-law, Beatrice and Andrew Thomas, Stone Mountain, GA; four grandchildren, Cassandra Cox, Brandon Cox, Kaitlyn Cox, and Zachary Cox; one great grandchild, Leon Michael Cox; one brother, Bobby Cox, Stone Mountain, GA; one sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Bud Wicka, Jackson, GA; several nieces and nephews; A very “Special” Friend, Brenda Moore, Marietta, GA.
