He is survived by his wife Doris; his four children, Ashlee, Chad, Tyler, and Ryan; his six grandchildren; his mother, Marian Barden; and two of his brothers, Kerry and Danny.
His life’s purpose was to take care of his family. He taught his children to enjoy the simple things in life like fishing or throwing a ball with dad; to persist and work until the job was complete. John also demonstrated to his children the importance of family and always made them a priority. When John wasn’t with his family, he could be found in his machine shop, Southeastern Tool and Machine Co. which he established in 1986, the year he married Doris.
His memorial service was held Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at the Real Life Christian Church in Woodstock, GA. The family asks in lieu of flowers please donate to Real Life Christian Church in Woodstock where Doris and John were longtime members.
