Our beautiful mother, Judith Ann (August) Thomas, went to be with the Lord late in the evening on Sunday, August 15, 2021, after a brief illness. Judy was born in Dayton, Ohio, but lived most of her life in Cleveland, West Palm Beach, and Atlanta.
Judy was a loving woman who left many lasting memories whether it was with her life-long friends from elementary and high school, fellow banking employees, church friends, or her large extended family. She never let a birthday or an important date go unnoticed. She also loved watching Fox News and sharing her views on American politics. She was a kind, loving, patient and caring sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Though her death was sudden and shocking to everyone, Judy’s work on this earth was done and she couldn’t wait to get to Heaven to be with her parents, Victor and Elizabeth August, sister, Dolores (Hank) Parsons, and infant son, Bobby. Judy is survived by a large loving family who will miss her dearly, including her daughters, Vicki Kipreos (Ted) of Cumming, GA, and Pam Thomas of Wellington, FL, sons Ed Thomas (Rachel) of Pittsford, NY, Dan Thomas (Lisa) of Royal Palm Beach, FL, sister Mary Vitale (Tony) of Canton, GA, 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Judy was a simple lady, but wanted a funeral mass, which will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 490 Arnold Mill Rd Woodstock, GA 30188, where the family will celebrate Judy‘s life on August 27, 2021, starting at 11:00am.
You may donate flowers to honor Judy during her the funeral mass or, in lieu of flowers, support the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy in her name at www.Georgiacenterforchildadvocacy.org
