

Lola Gay Chard, age 99, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. Lola was born November 17, 1922. She was born on November 17, 1922 in Brilliant, Alabama to her late parents John Huguley & Rosa Moore Huguley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Eugene Chard, Sr.
Surviving are her 3 sons, Gilbert (Sonny) Eugene, Jr. (Tracy), Arthur Daniel (Dan), and Richard (Ricky) Alton (Cathy). Also surviving are 4 grandsons, Daecon (Elizabeth), Damone (Lynnette), Dwayne, & Justin (Jessica), 7 great grandchildren, Brianna, Kysis, Simon, Felicity, Eden, Asher and Axle, and 2 great great grandchildren, Raelyn and Skylah. There are also many nieces and nephews who all loved her very much.
Lola was a long time member of Mt. Paran Church of God and before that when it was Hemphill Church of God in Atlanta. She loved her church and her family and friends. Along with painting and sewing, she loved creating floral arrangements and working on various projects through church and community. She was active in several different groups throughout her years at Hemphill and Mt. Paran. Lola will be missed by all of us here on Earth, but she will have a happy reunion in Heaven with all of her family and friends that have gone on before her!
A visitation for Lola will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 25, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188. A committal service will occur Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM at Georgia National Cemetery, 2025 Mount Carmel Church Lane, Canton, GA 30114.
