Margaret Zane Mullins

Margaret was born, raised and lived in Kingsport, Tennessee until she moved to Marietta to live with her daughter and granddaughters. She was the daughter of HG and Ora Ragsdale and married to John Patton Mullins, all who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Moore of Marietta; granddaughters Megan LeMense (husband Joseph) of Washington, DC and Melanie Moore (husband Mitchell Aarons) of New York City. She has a sister Barbara (Bobbie) Shoun; husband Dallas, of Kingsport, Tn; nephews David Shoun of Santa Barbara, CA; Michael Shoun and Claire Willey of San Francisco, CA. In addition, she has two surviving sisters-in-law, Mary Bloomer of Ross Camp Ground and Sally Hilton, Grand Blanc, Michigan.

Margaret was a wife and homemaker until 1973 when she became a licensed practical nurse, working at HVCH as a medicine nurse until she retired. She loved gardening, feeding songbirds and her home. She moved to Marietta in 1999 to live with her daughter and granddaughters. She was “Gran” to so many who knew and loved her. In her last years, she was cared for by a very special woman,Patricia Toomer, who made her life more comfortable. The great loves of her life were her family, friends and her dog Oliver who will miss her greatly.
