Mark Oelschlager

LeRoy Mark Oelschlager, 62, of Towne Lake Hills in Woodstock, died peacefully April 25th after a year- long battle with ALS/Lou Gehrig’s disease. He leaves behind his wife Anna and 2 children, Annika age 14 and Zachary, age 12.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Mark is the son of Doris Oelschlager of Frederick, PA and was the brother to Judy and David Formalarie, Richard and Denise Oelschlager, Patty and Toy Tachayapong, Russell and Barbara Oelschlager, and Janet and John Pescatore. Mark was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Oelschlager, who died in April 2013. He also leaves behind an aunt and uncle and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mark graduated from Northwest Missouri State University and worked for over 30 years in healthcare benefits and in life and health insurance. He served his community as the president of the Towne Lake Hills Homeowners Association for several years and worked tirelessly to make the community a better place. He was actively involved in the Hobgood baseball program, and enjoyed golf, skiing and spending time with family and friends.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held for friends and neighbors at a later date. Burial arrangements will be private.
