

Born a Triplet March 18, 1941 in Sylvester, GA to William and Odel (Fowler) Spence, she married the love of her life, Don Slocumb, on October 13, 1962.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, William and Odel; her brothers, Edwin, Melton, John, George and Oliver Spence; her sisters Evelyn Clem and Ruth Youngblood.
She is survived by her husband, Don (Pawpaw) Slocumb of Woodstock; Son & daughter-in-law, Keith and Jenny Slocumb of Roswell; 3 grandchildren, Abby (Justin) Myles, Madeleine Slocumb, and Delaney Slocumb, and one great grandson, Nolan Myles. She also leaves behind her brother, Larry Spence and sister, Olivia Rouse.
Mimi and Pawpaw met in the summer of 1962, wed that fall, and resided in Dawson, Georgia for 45 years before moving to Woodstock in 2007 to be near her son and granddaughters. Mimi loved to bake and made the best 6-layer chocolate cake in the world. She was also known for her amazing banana pudding. She loved working in the yard taking care of all her flowers and traveling with Pawpaw. Pigeon Forge and the beach were two of the places she enjoyed the most. Her favorite pastime was doting on her granddaughters.
Mimi was a member of the Woodstock Church of Christ where she assisted in the Clothing Room for many years.
She was Beautiful both inside and out and she always had a smile for everyone she met. She was kind and never missed an opportunity to compliment someone, especially on their jewelry and shoes.
The Funeral will be held at Woodstock Funeral Home in Woodstock, Georgia on Saturday, January the 21st. The viewing will be at noon with the service to follow 1:30. There will be a reception following the services at Woodstock Church of Christ, 219 Rope Mill RD. All are welcome. Burial will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia on Monday, Jan 23 at 11:00.
