

Max A. Draper, age 83, of Marietta passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Max was born February 16, 1939 in Jackson County, TN, to the late Boss and Clester Minchey Draper. He was a US Air Force Cold War Veteran and was stationed in West Germany where he met his wife, “Gerdi”. Max spent most of his career with AT&T as a Computer Programmer and was very fortunate to retire from AT&T early in 1989. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Gertrud Draper, his Brothers, Louis Draper and Charles Draper, and Sister, Evelyn Wheeler. Surviving are his two Sisters, Reba Draper and Shelba Gregory, three children, Pat Grant, Diana (Bob) Croom, and John (Jen) Draper, his four grandchildren, Erika (Jordan) Lambert, Ashley Grant, Will (Jessie) Grant, Jordan Croom, and Emma Draper and his three great-grandchildren, Ansley Grant, Brayden and Andrew Lambert. Max will be remembered as an avid golfer and as someone who loved gardening. Most of all, he will be remembered by his love for spending time with his family and his love of all animals, especially his granddogs.
A visitation with light refreshments will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 11:00am to 1:00pm, at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188, with a memorial service immediately following at 1:00pm.
