Natalie Fern Lyle was born September 1, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to Lucille Busby and Arthur O’Neil. She grew up in Chicago with her mother and stepfather, Edward Benjamin Pollock. Natalie was educated in Chicago elementary and high schools, George William University and University of Illinois.
Natalie married John “Jack” Lyle and lived in Tuskegee, Alabama where her husband trained and became a Tuskegee Airman. When John was deployed to Europe, she returned to Chicago and began work with the Park District of Chicago where she worked as supervisor as athletics for 45 years. She resided in Chicago until 2011 when she moved to Georgia to be near her brother and family.
Natalie is survived by one brother, Edward Hugh Pollock and his wife Ursula as well as a nephew, nieces and cousins.
Preceding her death were her parents and a nephew, Bradley Hugh Pollock.
She will be greatly missed and remembered by family and friends for her fun-loving spirit and joy of life. She loved dogs, was passionate about swimming and liked to travel. During her last days, she enjoyed many hours of playing and winning bingo.
