Miss Olga had many passions in life, but what she enjoyed most was sports and she was eager to learn and develop as a coach. Not only did she coach women’s sports, such as softball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, and cheerleading, but she knew she wanted to teach and educate, which led her to earning a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh in 1970. For over 30 years, she was a teacher and a coach at West Mifflin North High School in Pennsylvania.
Of all the sports Olga enjoyed, golf was her favorite. Olga and her husband owned and operated golf courses that her husband had created and designed himself. The Broken Tee Golf Course in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania and the Fox Wood Hills in Westminster, South Carolina were owned and operated by them.
Among the many things she enjoyed, she also liked to read and sew. She was a member of a sewing ministry of the North River Church of Christ in Marietta, Georgia for ten years. Olga would sew aprons, B ABY blankets and many other things of this sort to send to children’s hospitals and hospice facilities. Her aprons were given to many people worldwide.
Olga was also a devout Christian and was a very dedicated and active member of the North River Church of Christ in Marietta, Georgia for many years. Her faith was evident through all aspects of her life. Olga had a heart full of love for Christ and for her family and friends. She also loved dancing and could do almost any type of dance known. On her 90th birthday, she danced the jitter-bug.
Along with her parents, Olga is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Vuknic; brothers, John and Michael Sekerak; and sister, Irene Sekerak. She is survived by her sons, David (Peggy) Malutinok and Paul (Debbie) Malutinok; sister, Mary Sutyak; grandchildren, Scott Malutinok, John Malutinok, Joyanna Malutinok, Kevin Malutinok, and Ryan Malutinok; and eight great-grandchildren.
