October 9, 1974- May 30, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Orlando, who left us unexpectedly on May 30, 2025, at the young age of 50.
Orlando B. Quick was born on October 9, 1974, in Detroit, Michigan, to Shirley and Sandy Quick. He was a man of kindness, strength, and love. Orlando touched the lives of all who knew him with a huge smile and a generous spirit. However, no love could rival that which Orlando held for his wife and family. His passion for life and concern for others were also evident in his professional career. As a dedicated real estate agent, he took pride in his work and found joy in helping clients find their perfect home.
Orlando believed in living life to the fullest, as evidenced by his passion for traveling, riding motorcycles, and enjoying a good cigar. He also enjoyed staying up-to-date with current events and making informed stock investments.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Resa Quick, his children Jalin and Dalton Quick, his parents Shirley Quick (Sandy Quick deceased), his siblings Earnest Quick (wife Tashala), Samuel Quick (wife Claudia), Jamie Quick, Tia Quick and Kierra Quick, his in-laws Rev. Eddie and Clara Heath and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends and family members who will cherish his memory forever.
He also had a host of “brothers from another mother” that included the following: Pete and Rob Carey, Tim Covington, Lamar Williams, Omari James, Eric McCall, and Carlos Butler (deceased).
Orlando will truly be missed, especially his contagious BIG laugh. He may be gone from our sight, but he will forever remain in our hearts. His legacy of love and generosity will live on as we remember one of his favorite sayings. “I love you, and ain't nothing you can do about it”.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation or meal for the family.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Allen Temple AME Church, where friends and family can gather to honor his legacy and the wonderful person he was.
