Paul Quinlan

Mr. Paul David Quinlan, 84, of Canton, GA, passed away October 14, 2014. He was born on September 2, 1930 in Lansing, MI to the late James and Catherine Quinlan. After graduating from high school, Paul attended Michigan State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in communications. He honorably served in the United States Army after college. Paul started his 33-year career with IBM as an internal auditor. In 1988, he retired from IBM as a Senior Systems Analyst. After retirement, Paul worked many part time jobs, including working by his wife’s side at Good Shepard United Methodist Church. He was the sexton and bookkeeper and she was the office manager. Paul will be remembered for his beautiful singing voice (singing lead in a few barber shop quartets) and as a loving and faithful husband and father. Paul leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Catherine Quinlan, daughter, Elizabeth Margedant (Jay P), son, James Quinlan (Rebecca), grandchildren, Elizabeth Margedant, Thomas Quinlan and Tyler Quinlan and sister, Rita Pincumbe. A memorial service will be held on October 17 at 11:00 AM at Hickory Flat United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Paul to a cancer research organization of your choice.
