

Mrs. Rebecca Turner Westmoreland Flinn, 89, of Woodstock, GA passed away February 20, 2016. Rebecca earned her Master’s degree in Education from the University of Mississippi. She enjoyed a long career teaching high school math at South Cobb High School. After her retirement, she spent 3 years in the Peace Corps, teaching other teachers to teach math in Antigua. She was a very strong and faithful woman. Rebecca was a loving mother and generous to a fault. She had a strong faith in God and was an active member at Brightstar United Methodist Church and recently a member of Bascomb UMC. She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, James Thomas Westmoreland Jr. and Les Flinn and her daughter, Janie Westmoreland. Rebecca leaves behind her sons, James Thomas Westmoreland, III (Diana), Philip Westmoreland (Jeanne) and Paul Westmoreland, grandchildren, Jennifer, Gabriel, Philip, Jessica, Chris and Kory, sister, JoAnn Willis, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are step children, Stephanie Delk, Daniel Flinn, and Bill Flinn(Lisa) A memorial service will be Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 4:00pm at Hardin Chapel United Methodist Church, 3296 Hardin Chapel Rd, Fulton, MS 38843.
