Ronald Thomas Wright

Ronald Thomas Wright, age 74 passed away peacefully at his home, with his wife and daughters at his bedside on Sunday, February 8th, 2015 in Woodstock GA. Ron was a native of Greensboro, N.C. where he met his bride Dora of 49 years. Ron graduated from Greensboro High in 1959. He attended Guilford College, and served 6 years in Navy Reserves. Ron retired from career in sales after 39 years.

Ron was an active member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church of Roswell, Ga. For 26 years. He is survived by: his wife of 49 years, Dora Byrum Wright; two daughters – Veronica Wright Peninger and her husband Kent of Durham NC and Ginger Wright Ewing and her husband Gene of Loganville, GA; two grandchildren: John Thomas Croy and his wife Amanda of Murfreesboro TN and Michael Ewing of Loganville, GA, great grandchildren Linleigh and Bennett Croy of Murfreesboro, TN. Also surviving are his mother Bertha L Wright of Greensboro, N.C., sister Pat Cunningham, and husband Bill of Kenersville, N.C. He is also survived by serval nieces, and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Thomas Wright, two brothers, Richard Arthur Wright, Samuel Johnston Wright, and one sister Nancy Jean Paschal.

Funeral services will be held at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, in Roswell, GA on February 12th, 2015 at 11:30 AM, with a reception to follow. All funeral arrangements are being made through Woodstock Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church of Roswell, Ga. or Amedisys Hospice Care of Jasper, Ga.
