Sara Frances Ramsay

Sara Frances Dial Ramsay, age 93, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away October 14, 2014. Mrs. Ramsay was born February 21, 1921 in Woodstock, Georgia to Emmett Dial and Mary Claude Simpson Dial and was a lifelong resident of Woodstock. She was a longtime member of Woodstock United Methodist Church and also a former home economics teacher. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ramsay was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Speer Ramsay. She is survived by son, Sonny Ramsay (Jenny) of Ohio, daughter Mary Lou Owenby (Tommy) of Woodstock, granddaughters, Margaret Anne (Maggie) Owenby and grandson-in-law to be Alex Hilliard of Woodstock and Sara Amanda Fountain (Jason) of Ballground, GA. A Celebration of Sara’s life will be held Friday, October 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Claude Herbert and Rev. Sven Mossenger officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Must Ministries 111 Brown Industrial Parkway Canton, GA 30114.
