Mrs. Shirley Scarbrough McBride

Born in Stone Wall, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late John Herman Scarbrough and Joyce Mae Chambers Scarbrough, and was the widow of Raymond McBride. During her career, Shirley was employed with American Motors in Atlanta for 20 years and was employed with Paslode in Atlanta for 15 years. Her family meant so much to her and she loved them more than anything.

Shirley is survived by a son, Danny Whitfield of Rydal, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet W. Harris and her husband, Fred, of Greensboro, GA; a granddaughter, Lauren W. Ray and her husband, Ryan, of Rydal, GA; a great-granddaughter, Margaret Ray and a great-grandson, Griffin Ray, both of Rydal, GA; two sisters, Doris Buice of Ballground, GA, and Sandra Akins and her husband, Charlie, of Fayetteville, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Murray officiating. Interment will be at College Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, March 25th, at Woodstock Funeral Home.
