Sonia Cynthia Cole

Sonia Cynthia Cole (Brown) entered eternal life on Monday, August 15th, 2016. Sonia was born to Valda Wilson and Carlton Brown in Spanish Town Jamaica on November 4, 1948, raised by Valda and James Thomas. Sonia attended Durham College in Kingston Jamaica, where she studied Business Administration. Sonia met the love of her life, Cleveland Cole, soon after attending college and joined union on June 11th, 1969. Sonia and Cleveland moved to the United States December 4th, 1974. They shared 47 years together and in their union they raised five children Christopher Williams, Denise Cole, Nadine Glass (Archie), Sheneka Cole and Cleveland Cole, Jr. Sonia retired from The Coca-Cola Company after 25 yrs of service. Sonia enjoyed, reading, cooking and took great joy and pride caring for her family. She was a loving wife and mother and will be missed dearly. Her mother, Valda Thomas, sister-in-law, Arlene Thompson preceded Sonia in death. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 47 years, Cleveland Cole Sr., father James Thomas, and children and her 9 grandchildren: Chibale and Kwame Wiggins, Bryce and Noah Castro, Mikaela and Nadia Glass, Roman Cole, Jaden Williams, and RaMauri Christie. Also surviving are siblings, Yvonne (Junis) and Carlton Brown, Jr., Carol, Dave and Dionne Thomas. Brothers and Sisters in laws Louis, Sr. (Pearl) Cole, Clifton (Vinette) Cole, Jennifer Cole, Gregory (Sandy) Lawrence, Richard Thompson, mother-in-law, Zeppora Lawrence (Arthur), father-in-law, Arnold Cole and Maxine Lawrence and nieces and nephews Troy (Amanda) Cole, Louis Cole Jr., Andrew Thomas, Kimberly Cole, Dennisha Creary, Richard Davis, Jonathan and Cianna Thompson, Mark, Lorrisann & Richard. A celebration of Sonia’s life will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00am at Mount Paran North Church of God.
