

As a young man, he found his place with the police department and was in the Marine reserves. He later became a motorcycle policeman in Miami, FL and worked in security for some high-profile people, such as, Frank Sinatra, John F. Kennedy and actor Steve Kanaly of the Dallas TV show. He once was the limousine driver for members of the Grateful Dead. While in Miami, Troy also achieved his pilots license.
He later moved to Sarasota, FL and began working in sales of all types throughout the rest of his life, including building supplies, radio ads, and life & health insurance. While in Sarasota, Troy served as a member of the Shriners.
Troy and his wife Carol, travelled extensively and settled in Laguna Niguel, CA for several years before moving to North GA to live nearby his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lillian & Troy Millard Weathers, Sr. as well as his sister, Bennie Ruth Carey.
Troy is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Carol Weathers, of Canton, GA.
He was a father to son Troy Millard Weathers, III of Stone Mountain, GA and daughters Teresa Leahy of Ball Ground, GA and Cathleen Higgins of Alpharetta, GA. As well as son-in-laws, Chris Leahy and Reggie Higgins.
Troy was a grandfather to Colby and Casey Higgins of Alpharetta, GA, Matthew and Shawn Leahy of Ball Ground, GA, Ricki Weathers of Woodstock, GA and granddaughter-in-law, Heather Leahy.
Troy loved travel, cooking, old Westerns and mostly his family life. He was resilient in life and we joked that he had 9 lives. One of his favorite saying was, "inquiring minds want to know", and now he does. While we will carry him in our hearts throughout our lives, We will miss him so!
