William "Bill" Wilkins

William (Bill) Leavell Wilkins was born on March 16, 1954 in Atlanta, GA and passed away January 17, 2019. Bill was the 5th of seven siblings born to John Thomas Wilkins of Carrollton, GA and Annie Dorsey Leavell Wilkins of Marietta, GA. He is survived by his son Tomas Adam Wilkins, 38; siblings, John T Wilkins Jr., Robert Wilkins, Sharon Rafter, Susan Coughlin and David Michael Wilkins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Bogle.

Bill Wilkins was a graduate of Headland High School, 1972. He had worked as a carpenter apprentice and a union carpenter in building maintenance and construction, and as a construction superintendent and project manager. He honorably served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Veterans Post 118 in Lithia Springs, GA.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 5-7pm at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188. A funeral service will be on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 10:00am in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Carrolton, GA.
