

Anna Simcoe Hopper, 90, passed away on November 21, 2023. She was born on April 19, 1933, in Blacklick Ohio, to the late Charles and Anna (Stankard) Simcoe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hopper; sister, Ruth Rice; and brothers, Charles Robert, John, and James Simcoe.
Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. Anna graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1951 and pursued a career in secretarial work, beginning at North American Aviation and continuing at Claycraft Brick and Mining Company, where she met her future husband. Married in 1960, she devoted her time to her family for several years before returning to work. Anna eventually became the office manager for the regional accounting center of the McDonald’s Corporation in Westerville, Ohio, from which she retired in 1994. For many years, her delicious holiday dinners were an annual gathering place for her large extended family. An avid reader, she continued to enjoy books and word puzzles throughout her 90 years. She was admired by all who knew her for her quiet kindness, her intelligence, and her calm and sweet disposition.
Survived by daughters, Mary Ann Hopper and Linda (Jim) Bollas; grandchildren, Alex, Audrey, and James Bollas; sisters, Mary Leser and Elizabeth Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11AM at the Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 9571 North High St., Lewis Center OH, 43035
