Barbara Bowers

Barbara Bowers, 88, of Westerville Ohio, passed away on December 15, 2021. She was born on December 14, 1933, in Findlay OH, to the late Eugene and Ethel (Criger) Baughman. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her siblings, Arden, Melvin, Ted, Vera, and Herman Baughman.

Barbara was a proud graduate of Findlay High School. Upon graduating high school, Barbara did secretarial work for Marathon Oil Company, where she worked for about ten years. Following her time with Marathon, she started working at Eastman Kodak where she held a variety of positions. She worked for Eastman Kodak until her retirement.

Barbara met the love of her life, Jay, on a blind date, and they have been happily married for 68 years. Barbara loved her family and would spend as much time as she could with her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. In addition to family, Barbara loved to travel. She has traveled all around the United States. She had a passion for cooking, especially cooking in a crockpot, and also enjoyed baking. In addition, Barbara enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, collecting stamps, and she enjoyed volunteering at church.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Jayne (Dale) Wirtz; grandchildren, Adam Wirtz and Kate Cook; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Georgia Cook; and her sister, Marilyn (John) Hoy.

A private graveside service will be held in Findlay, Ohio.
