Barbara will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Kenneth Williamson, children Chris (Ruth) Williamson and Cheryl (Lorenzo) Atriano, adoring grandchildren, Paolo and Liliana Atriano, sister Aretta (Tony) Monaco, brother Bob (Louise) Jones, and many amazing friends. She dedicated her life to her cherished family and friends. She will live on through the lives she touched and the memories she made with those she loved.
Barbara attended The Ohio State University where she earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics and a teaching certificate. She went on to earn a master’s degree with additional hours in teaching and learning through Ashland University. She was a teacher at Jones Junior High School, Willis Middle School, and Delaware Hayes High School for 37 years. Barbara passionately believed in education and that everyone had the potential to learn. She created wonderful lessons that made learning fun for her students and worked hard to help each individual student reach their full potential. For many years, Barbara was an avid roller skater and swimmer. She exercised daily, enjoyed intense walks, working outdoors, landscaping, and gardening. Additionally, she was an accomplished painter and quilter. Barbara could do anything she set her mind to and if she didn’t know how to do it, she found someone that did and learned it! She made the best desserts and homecooked meals to the delight of her family. She refinished furniture, sewed clothing and made costumes for those she loved. She canned food from her garden and made homemade applesauce and apple butter that her family still enjoys. She showed up for her loved ones in every way. Barbara was full of spirit, hope, love, joy, happiness and we were all so very lucky to have known her. We will love you forever and will do our best to make you proud! Love always, your adoring family.
