William “Bill” Plummer went to his heavenly home on October 17, 2024. Bill was born in 1939 in Shawnee Hills Ohio to Sam and Ida Plummer and grew up with nine brothers and sisters. Bill, his father, and brothers, were all Well Drillers for the family business. Prior to the availability of municipal water sources, Sam Plummer and Sons made it possible for so many new homes to have water within the expanding communities surrounding central Ohio. In his later years, Bill would share stories of how he enjoyed being outside, working for himself, and providing good clean drinking water to so many. He enjoyed fishing, small game hunting, and bowling.
Bill met Helen when he and a friend stumbled upon a group of ladies playing softball, and the rest is history. They married and started a family of their own. Bill loved being with his family. He was kind, funny, and always willing to share a laugh with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Helen Plummer, daughter Kim Meyer, her children Randy, Megan and Samie, son Mark Plummer, his wife Anna, and their children Hayden and Hannah, and great-grandchildren Stella, Layla, Luke, and Oaklyn. His sisters Connie Raub, Sharon (Bill) Washburn, and Joy (Bob) Haynie. His in-laws Susie Plummer, Betty Plummer, Jim (Bonnie) Cuckler, and Tammy (Dan) Vogt. Many nieces, nephews, and their children.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Ida Plummer, brothers Lester, Eddie, and Frank (Audrey), sisters Mary Kay (Zeke) Zahirniak, Sandy Falke, and Carolyn (Wally) Buettner. In-laws Jim and Eva Cuckler, Stella Krafft, and Bill Raub.
