Born in Evansville Wisconsin, she practiced and taught nursing first at her alma mater, the University of Wisconsin, and then later in Chicago, Illinois and at a number of Columbus institutions, including Riverside and Grant hospitals and Columbus State University. She was proud of her impact in training hundreds of nurses. She was a dedicated mother and wife who spread love and understanding to all she came in contact with. She was also a passionate lover of music, gardening, travel, and photography.
She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Richard T. Martin, and sons Christopher (Laura Lynn) and Paul (Laura Therese), grandchildren Benjamin and Clare, and sister Sigrid Kahoun. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Worthington on Saturday, June 25 at 2pm.
